Chestnuts Care Centre is a well-established Home situated in a pleasant central location in Grimsby. It has easy access to local amenities and transport. The building is Victorian in style with a modern extension providing care space for up to 26 residents.
The Chestnuts has 3 storeys serviced by stairs and a passenger lift. There are 20 single rooms, of which 9 have ensuite facilities and there are 3 shared rooms. On the ground floor there is a Lounge, a Conservatory and a Dining Room which are shared by all of the residents. The Home benefits from pleasant gardens to the front and rear and ample car parking to the side of the property. The Home caters for the needs of residents with old age and sufferers of mild to moderate dementia.
Chestnuts Care Centre has been caring for the elderly since 2001. We believe in life after dementia, it is our intention to ensure that all residents enjoy normal life experiences where possible. Residents enjoy regular escorted visits to local garden centres, cafes or pubs and are often driven around the town and country in a mini bus, and often have a stroll along the sea front, weather permitting. Other activities include baking, bingo, arts and crafts, arm chair exercises, sewing/knitting, singing, reading, dancing, pamper days and many more.
